Meet

Misty Diaz

I’m Misty Diaz, co-designer of GRWM Tools.

I was born with Spina Bifida, and I’ve been using crutches since I was six years old to stay independent. Decades of relying on my hands for balance and independence eventually led to pain in my wrists and palms something I never saw coming. Suddenly, everyday items like my toothbrush, spoon, and makeup brushes became difficult to hold. These adaptive grips were created from real life challenges mine. When I shared these struggles with our designer, creating adaptive tools just made sense. GRWM Tools were co-designed from my real-life needs. If you’ve ever struggled to hold everyday items, know this, you’re seen. These tools were made with you in mind.

Meet

Dani Lipsky

I'm Dani Lipsky, co-designer of GRWM Tools.

I’ve been an artist my entire life, working with my hands feverishly since I could first hold a pencil. Over time, especially through college and into my career, my own hands began showing signs of overuse. I studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, focusing on prosthetics and manufacturing, and built hands-on prototypes and tooling throughout my work. But the very thing I loved — creating — was taking a toll on me.

These grips helped me reclaim my creativity. They allowed me to return to my art without pain defining the process.

My hope is that they inspire anyone who feels they’ve had to step away from their passion to reconnect with their creative spirit.
